    背景?概念

    Background·Concept

     

    項目位于北京舊城區東四街道一帶,是一間約60平方米、專注于手沖咖啡的咖啡廳。周邊街道大小店鋪林立,既有深受本地居民喜愛的傳統店鋪,也有反映年輕文化的新穎商店。該區域融合了歷史的魅力與現代的活力,街道景觀日新月異,為人們帶來新奇有趣的步行體驗。設計旨在尊重隱形的歷史、傳統和場地特征,以與現代生活方式相契合的空間構建為出發點,融入持續更新的地區發展中。

    The project is located in Dong Si, an old city area in Beijing. It is a 60-square-meter coffee shop that specializes in hand-brewed coffee. The surrounding streets are lined up with stores of all sizes and kinds – not only the traditional stores loved by residents, but also the new shops reflecting young culture. This area combines both historical charm and modern vitality. The street landscape changes with every passing day, giving people a novel and interesting walking experience.The design, as part of the ever-renewing district, is always expected to be based on the principle of ‘always respecting the invisible history and tradition, always respecting the characteristics and nature of the site' and to be initiated from the consideration of 'realising a spatial configuration matching the modern lifestyle'.

    隨著信息技術的發展,虛擬空間和虛擬體驗已成為日常生活的一部分。盡管其便利和潛力值得關注,但我們相信,只有在直接的實體空間和實際體驗中,人們才能獲得更加深刻的感動和啟發。實地經驗是豐富現代生活的重要元素。項目希望通過催化五感(視、嗅、味、觸、聽)來打造一個空間,使人們不僅能品味咖啡,還能通過獨特的實地體驗,讓人們再次拾回對實體空間體驗的收獲與悸動,同時也能更深入的了解咖啡文化。

    Virtual space and virtual experience are becoming part of our daily life with the development of technology. Although the convenience and potential of virtual space still needs further discussion, we believe only in direct and physical space and with real experience, people can get more profound touches and inspirations. On-site experience is an important element to enrich people's lives in modern times. The project hopes to create a space by catalysing five senses (sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing) so that people can not only taste coffee here, but also regain the gains and excitement of the physical space experience through such a unique on-site experience, while also gaining a deeper understanding of coffee culture.

    空間構成

    Spatial Composition

     

    室內空間分為四個區域:點單咖啡吧臺、手沖咖啡區、咖啡豆展示區和座位區。點單咖啡吧臺盡量減少面積,如街頭小攤位般佇立于店內深處。其他區域則采用開放的空間布局模式,在動線和視線設計上自由且流動。

    The interior is divided into 4 areas: hand-brew area, coffee bean display area, ordering area and seating area. The order counter is kept to the minimum area and stands deep inside the store like a street stall. Other areas are designed in an open space mode; the circulation routes and sight lines are free and flowing.

    從室外延伸進室內的屋檐,模糊了室內外體感的邊界,將人自然引入建筑。走進室內,右側可以看到手沖咖啡吧臺,宛如咖啡師的小舞臺,顧客可在這里近距離觀賞咖啡從豆子到一杯咖啡的制作過程,并在與咖啡師交流的同時,品味醇香。

    The roof eave extends from the exterior into the interior, blurring the sense of a physical boundary between indoor and outdoor environment in order to bring people in naturally. Walking into the coffee shop, the bar counter could be found on the right-hand side. Here the counter is like a small stage for the baristas where customers can observe the producing process from beans to a cup of coffee up close. While communicating with the barista, customers also can enjoy the coffee and its rich taste.

    手沖咖啡吧臺的后方設有咖啡豆展示區,可以讓顧客直觀地比較烘焙過的豆子,也提供品鑒器具讓顧客嗅辨不同研磨豆的香氣。顧客可以在這里挑選自己喜歡的豆子,品嘗現煮的咖啡。

    Behind the counter, there is a display area of coffee beans, allowing customers to intuitively compare the roasted beans. Tasting utensils are also provided for customers to smell the aroma of different ground beans. Customers can choose their favourite beans here and taste freshly brewed coffee.

    長椅座位區在視線上與點單咖啡吧臺和手沖咖啡區相對應。通過將座位區設計為類似街頭路肩、隨意坐下的線性布局形式,創造了顧客與咖啡師以及顧客之間自然、無拘束的互動距離和模式。

    The bench seating area is visually aligned with the counter and the hand-brewed coffee area. By designing the seating area as a linear layout - similar to the street shoulder where people can sit down at will, a natural and unpretentious interaction distance and pattern is created between customers and baristas and among customers.

    踏上通往屋頂露臺的旋轉樓梯,顧客們將在空間的拘束下暫時抽離于街道的喧囂,沉浸于一份獨有且片刻的寧靜。隨著步伐的緩慢上升,視線逐漸望向天空,灑落的自然光線帶來真實的感受。

    When stepping up to the spiral staircase which leads to the roof terrace, customers would temporarily escape from the hustle and bustle on the streets within a constraint space and immerse themselves in a unique and instant tranquillity. As slowly climbing up, the sight would gradually look up to the sky. At this very moment, the falling natural light brings a feeling beyond reality.

    上到露臺后,1.5米高的圍墻適當地遮擋了周圍的景象,視線被引導向天空。露臺中央設置了一張大矮桌,人們圍坐其旁,視點隨身體自然下降,在圍墻的局限下,能夠更加純粹地感受天空的廣闊。同時,座位之間的適當間距,為坐在一起的群體營造了輕松愜意的空間體驗。

    After arriving at the terrace, a fencing wall of 1.5m high appropriately blocks the surrounding scenery and again directs the sight towards sky. A grand and short table is placed at the centre of the terrace. When people sit around it, their viewpoint naturally drops with their bodies, allowing customers to feel the vastness of the sky more purely within the limitations of the wall. Meanwhile, the sense of proper seating distance offers a light and relaxing spatial experience for the group sitting together.

    材料與細節

    Materials & Details

     

    空間整體以暖色調進行搭配和引導,旨在讓顧客進入室內的瞬間,就可以在視覺的催化下迅速地捕捉到咖啡的香氣,營造出溫暖、舒適的氛圍。咖啡吧臺采用了櫸木、櫻桃木和胡桃木三種木材,隨機組合。這樣的設計,既讓人聯想到不同焙煎程度的咖啡,也讓顧客在挑選咖啡豆的同時能夠和不同木材的質感、紋理產生自然的對照、連結。

    The space overall is matched and guided by warm colours, so that the instant customers enter the room, they can quickly capture the aroma of coffee under the catalysis of vision, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The coffee counter is made of three types of wooden materials - beech, cherry and walnut, in random combinations. With the combination like this, it reminds customers of coffee with different roasting degrees and allows customers to have a natural contrast and connection with the texture and grain of different woods when choosing coffee beans.

    手沖咖啡吧臺采用現場澆筑的混凝土制作,凹凸不平的質感與平滑的臺面形成對比,帶來獨特的觸感體驗。借由材料的設計,讓顧客意識到從原豆到精心制作的咖啡,其過程如同現場一次性澆筑的混凝土,展現出自然且強烈的質感。

    The hand-brewing counter is made of on-site casted concrete. Its uneven texture, comparing to a smooth countertop, would bring a rather different and contrasting tactile experience. Through the design of materials, it is also expected that customers can realise the process from raw beans to a cup of carefully crafted coffee is like concrete casted on site at one time, showing a natural and strong texture.

     

    從室外樓梯通向屋頂露臺的空間,其墻面采用了淺茶色的水洗石材料。材料細膩的凹凸質感和在自然光下形成的陰影變化,進一步觸動每個人的感觀極限。

    The space from outdoor staircase to the roof terrace – the material of light brown washed stone is applied to the walls. Its delicate concave and convex texture of the material and the changes in shadows formed under natural light further touch the limits of everyone’s senses.

    此外,客座區的桌椅凳和門把手等地方,巧妙融入了“+”的元素。不僅將品牌理念滲透到空間的各個角落,也為空間增添了視覺上的亮點。

    Furthermore, the tables, chairs, stools, door handles and other places of the seating area, inadvertently incorporate the element of “+”, which not only does the brand concept penetrate every corner of the space, but also adds visual highlights to the space.

    在快速發展的社會中,我們希望這家咖啡廳成為一個促進人與人、人與空間之間聯系的,溫暖而真切的場所。它能夠為前來的人們提供豐富的實地體驗。與此同時,我們也希望它能為歷史與現代融合的街景增添新的價值,融入地區景觀,并長久地為人們所使用和喜愛。

    In the society under rapid development, we sincerely wish that this café would become a place to rediscover the warmth and authenticity brought by the connection among people and between human and space, and to provide rich on-site experiences for the ones who come to visit. At the same time, we hope that it can bring new values to the blended streetscape of history and modernity, becoming a part of the local landscape, loved and used by people for a long time to come.
